    CHRONODATE GOLD

Angelus is launching Chronodate, the first collection that pays tribute to its famous chronograph calibre presented 80 years ago, in 1942. The Chronodate is available in three limited series of 25 pieces whose aesthetics are inspired both by historic Angelus references and the sleek, openworked lines of its recent pieces. With its modular 42.5 mm case, the Chronodate combines red gold, titanium and carbon. Its bicompax automatic chronograph movement is encircled by a peripheral date in reference to the original model. CHRONODATE GOLD X CHÂTEAU ANGELUS

To mark its first appearance at Only Watch, Angelus is playing on its name with one of the greatest wines from the Bordeaux terroir: Château Angelus. Their shared name presents more than just an opportunity, because passion, collection, perpetuating and patience are at work in the creation of both a watch and a great wine. The dial of the Chronodate Gold x Château Angelus one-off piece is made from freeze-dried lees from the 2022 vintage. The lot to be auctioned to raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research also includes a prestigious “Impériale” from the 2012 vintage and a few bottles of the Château's very rare Grand Vin Blanc. CHRONOGRAPHE MEDICAL X MASSENA LAB

In the 1960s, Angelus launched its “doctor’s watch”: a wrist-worn hand-wound chronograph with a unique dial. It presented a dual scale for reading the vital signs doctors need during patient examinations: a pulsometer – to measure the patient’s pulse – and an asthmometer – to record their respiratory rate. This rare piece, which follows the 1950s and 1960s trend of specialising chronographs to meet specific functional or professional requirements, has been brought up to date by Angelus to appeal to modern tastes.

    GOLD & CARBON FLYING TOURBILLON

In addition to its technicality, the Gold & Carbon Flying Tourbillon presents precious materials and finishes. A sports watch with a flying tourbillon, this limited edition of 18 pieces is housed within a sharp new 42.5 mm diameter case in carbon composite and red gold. The A-250 calibre gives it a three-dimensional skeletonised look with its array of bridges in relief. Their graphic arrangement is much like the horological performance of this Angelus tourbillon: simply exceptional. REFERENCE NO. - 0TCDB.B01A.K009B
